I don't have much of a read on villan.  Only 22 hands against him and he was running 14/15.  He was raising first 25% of the time though.  I know I played this hand terrible especially with 23bb left.  My question is should I have played this hand in the first place?

Another question is since I played this hand is should I have 3bet pre or made a move on the turn?  I called his cbet because he has cbet every flop that he has raised.  I thought his bet on the turn was weak because of how small it is and that's why I was thinking maybe I should have checked raise/jam the turn.

Thanks in advance for your replies!!

I'm 3bet shoving this pre and moving on. You should be well ahead of his opening range and he will fold a lot of weaker aces that have us beat. A little deeper say 26-30bb I probably 3bet fold vs the type of player you described.

This may seem really nitty but I think it’s a rather easy fold, unless villain has been opening EP a lot and you know he has a really wide range… I think it’s interesting to note that BB could wake up behind us as well. I don’t like flatting at all and playing OOP with only 23 BB’s. As played I am trying to get it in before the river. I like check/raising flop or check/jamming turn. His bet on the turn is really bad IMO.

With your stack, flatting is a bit gross. I prefer a fold with a possibly nitty EP raiser, but I don't hate a re-shove pre.

oops, mis-read positions. vs utg I fold most of the time here. If you're flatting you can't be flop dependent as far as making a hand goes and you need to be willing to play back on boards that are likely to miss is opening range. With 23bb you don't have any room to mess around so it pretty much means comitting yourself to putting all your chips in on a good flop whether you hit or not. High variance play but can build a stack quick (if it works). As played I try to get all my money in on this flop

think i agree with most everyone here.  I'd probably fold pre, but jamming > than calling (not advocating for a jam tho).

As played i would check raise the flop and am certainly getting it in on the turn.
