As with any Rush, no reads except scrolling thru hand history and I found nothing on this guy.

My read = he calls flats me with AJ+, 88+ ( I exclude AA,KK for sure and maybe QQ, I think he shoves all these hands pre against me?) allin guy I dont care about other than his range removes possible cards from large chip stack villians set or A draws.

This board could easily improve his range, and he does donk bet into my preflop raise.

I do however still have top pair and a GS draw + back door flush.

WWYD – my move on the flop?

Thx,

Kevin

Well, id say that if youre thinking about calling(which I assume you are) you might as well just put the guy all-in right here and now. Hopefully he just has like A10 or some sort of 10 to which you have 2 of his outs. I just cant see me folding here, therefor im putting this guy to the test right here and now. Maybe this is a leak of mine, but there's so many draws in his range. Ive been up all night playing cash at the casino so hopfully im making sensecoolturn 10heartriv Qheart ez game

There are so many cards that can hurt you I'd smooth call see what comes on the turn if it looks safe jam regardless of his next action. If its not have him looked up on OPR and proceed with caution (most likely folding if too scarey a turn card comes) imo.

Id never believe that lead. Plus there are so many hands that if he is betting something because he caught a piece your still ahead. You have backdoor hearts and obviously a 10 if he did have something like QJ. This is a easy shove for me. If he somehow flopped a set its just ul hopefully you still get there. But you have to shove in this spot.

I just don't see his donk bet as weak.To me it shows he's wanting to play a big pot (almost hoping for the shove). If range is A10+, 88+ would he really lead out with 88 maybe AKo? Might call shove with 10,10 but doubt it.99, JJ, AQheart A10heartAQo, AJo, A10o with Aheart,KoQh and AQo, KQo all would call a shove. Should I  get my stack in with so many ways to be drawn out or worse? Maybe I'm being too skeptical and having flashbacks of EP monsters, AA KK, getting it in preflop or on the flop only to be rivered wishing I had played it differently ( been able to apply pressure with turn shove). Is this a bad way to view this? Am I playing scared ? When or should one take a defensive/protective stance on a draw heavy flop with an overpair and healthy stack? I have notice my stack alot of times comes from breaking big pairs (they say bad beat, I say position, telegraphing, and not knowing my range to calling PFR) and usally getting stacks with big pairs with it in preflop. I hope I'm not coming across as weak in this area but if I am please say so and set me straight as to how to mentally ajust (ie: The best defence is a good offence). Cheerssmile

I watched a vid a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it was bigdogs and he was saying that he thinks 90 percent of the time when someone calls your bet and donk leads they are full of it so he almost always either pushes or raises them.  After watching that vid i've tried that same move numerous times and have been amazed at how much people just fold or hit some top pair weak kicker crap and are just trying to take down the pot.  I have pushed into the nuts a few times but I mean I've done that in much weaker spots than what you're looking at on this hand.  I think you have outs if in fact you are behind but I think you're probably in the lead right now.  that being said I think his range here is 88, 910s, Q10, QJ, AQ, A10s, maybe 99, 10 10 but either way looking at those hands I would call if I saw them face up.  how did it end up?

Guy had JJ. Felt like a horrid play on my part after I looked it all over.

I called on flop – then reraised his turn bet allin.embarassed

Still undecided whether I should have picked up this guy was strong or not; after the fact I might be jaded by results of this particular hand.

Alot of stuff to really think about after reading all the comments.

It really helped thx!
