This is pretty late in a $2 online tourney on Merge.  2 tables left, everyone in the money.  Blinds are $500 / $1,000

Hero has around $46,000 – 46bb

Villian 1 has $8,000 – 8bb

Villian 2 has $43,000 – 43bb

Hero opens UTG+1 to $2,000 with KK

Villian 1 pushes all-in with 8bb

Villian 2 calls the shove with 35bb behind

Hero??

Are you trying to GII against 2 opponents with KK or is that dangerous?  My read was that they each had some Ace, so if an A hit, it would be trouble.  OR are you trying to shove to get Villian 2 to fold to go head's up against Villian 1 and take the chips in the pot?  Or as i thought more about it, are we deep enough to 4 bet and get Villian to 5 bet fold?

You are not deep enough to get him to 5b/fold… Your 4 bet is pretty much going to commit stacks here. Which is good, and exactly what we want. Don't get fancy with this, 4 bet to 19k and snap call if V2 shoves. If he folds, be happy with the free 8k in the middle.

I'm sure there is a spot where you can reasonably fold KK, or be concerned with getting it in vs 2 players. This is not one of them.

Would you ever overcall the shove from Villian 1 to see the flop?  We are in position against Villian 2 so can see him taking a stab at the pot and getting more of his chips?  Or are we looking to get head's up here?

I personally don't ever overcall, but I'm sure there are some posters here who will, and they are more apt to answering your question about it. I love the idea of a free 8BB in the middle when I get V2 to fold, and I love the idea of all his chips in the middle when he makes a mistake and GII with AQ or AJ or an underpair. Having 90BB at this stage in a tournament would be absolutely huge.

This being said, I don't think I'm ever just shoving here. I am giving V2 some rope to hang himself with. If you feel you can do that by flatting and playing post… that's something for you to discuss with players that do that. Hopefully someone posts here and I can read about it and consider a new line.

Raise to 17k, snap call shove IMO. Cross your fingers close your eyes and pray you hold. Villain 2 obvious wants to see a flop so mid pairs and ak are likely in his range. Maybe aa if he’s trapping unlikely though imo

I think a jam here is best it has the best chance if him calling with 1010 or something.

If we 4 bet anything of his that continues is QQ+ IMO is he has a clue.

Jam and keep his range wide.

We pretty much have the nuts. Obviously we want to keep every part of his range in and get this in 3 ways. If he has AA it's a redic cooler whatever move on. I would just make it like 15-16k to keep him in. We dont mind if he flats and don't worry about the ace flopping it sucks but I don't think there are many aces in his range he flats with pre to your 4bet anyway.
