This hand came up last night at Mohegan Sun's 10K guarantee tournament (Buy-in $100+$20). Blinds are 200-400 with a 50 ante. There's an early position limper. The cutoff makes it 3X. I am in on the button with KK and I reraise to 3750 with a starting stack of 25K plus or minus. The SB shoves on me with a stack of 14K. Folds around to me, pot = 20K or so and it's 10K+ to me.
I strongly felt the SB had AA.
I almost laid it down, but didn't. He had AA. Part of my inability to lay it down was tilty because of my recent history with KK (I laid it down in live tourneys at least three times in the last month, each time holding an overpair to the board and each time being a correct laydown).
Question\sanity check: Is anyone ever laying KK down preflop getting 2-1 odds with your opp all in and still having a 25bb stack behind if you are wrong and don't draw out? This is not meant to be a beat post, I'm being serious about this. Throw out some scenarios by which you may be willing to lay them down pre, if at all.
