Villian is a solid TAG player. Have 2k hands at 15/12. Pretty much and ABC player, does not get out of line much, but have seen him shove big draws. FT I'm 2nd in chips and he is 3rd.

I called his check raise post flop to be cautious and being in position let him put the chips in on further streets, being 3rd in chips thought it not necessary to get crazy yet, hoping for a brick on turn to get the chips in. (Flawed thinking????)

I tanked forever. I put him on QQ AJ and JJ and possibly but an unlikely flush draw, AKs or AQs What would you do??

I think decision needs to made on flop, id call as played because i hate calling flop raise then folding turn barrel.

I def call because ICM means he gives us a super tight calling range. agree with your range.

I prob 3bet flop because i dont want a diamond or ace to peel and he shouldnt be raise/folding anything we have crushed.

3bet jam or open jam? think open jams loses alot of value, big fan of 3bet jamming

I think this flop is way too wet for us to do anything but jam

yeah he could have JJ 88 77, so be it

he also could have AJ, A9s+ w diamonds, KJ,KTs and KQs diamonds, possibly QTs JTs 99 and TT

Point is, there so many semi bluffs out there that this is actually more likely to be a draw than a made hand

If you flat the flop i dont think you should be folding any turn, just seems to weak, and we'd be getting like 2.4:1 aswell

Jam the flop and hold i reckon

Thx for the replies.

Can't argue with anything said.

I ruled out semi bluffs because of our positions at the time in the tourney.

I let my time bank fall from 380 to 120. I wanted to fold so much. I was swinging mouse from fold to call back and forth.

I ended up ranging him QQ AJ and JJ and said to myself I beat two hands and lose to 1 so I called.

He had JJ and hit the 4th Jack on river for good measure

yea it sucks

Another reason I thought he might'nt have JJ is why jam if he had the set risking losing so much value. The turn was pretty much a brick and didn't change anything.  Thinking about it now, after I flatted his check raise on flop he must've put me on some sort of draw ie: AKs possibly AQs and he just didn't want to risk it at that stage in the tourney.
