Hero…???
Hey everyone hope I converted this right, its my first time using it. Anyways, this was last night at a small $10 tourney (NAPLdiv1). This is just a few hands into the final table and I havent played with Guyb at all during the tourney til the FT, so no reads. How is my line after the flop? Given the line I have taken what do I do with that turn? Thanks all!
Good question….well we first have to figure out what his flatting + min-raising value range is there. I think we can throw out 77 bc youre a bit too short for him to be setmining, and 1010 because he'd prolly just ship it being that he is in MP and would really hate life if someone shoved behind, or if more flatted and he took a multiway pot 1010. So if he's your standard nitty player on the FT, he'd prolly be flatting, JJ+, AJ+, and if he was a more loose player we MIGHT include KQs and A10s. Of that flatting range he is min-raising pretty much all of it, and the only thing youre beating on the turn is QQ, everything else got hit in the face. Given your stack size the only play you can do is jam the turn or fold, and of his range he is literally folding 0% of it to a shove imo so its a check/fold in my mind.
Another question we should be asking is why not shove the flop over the min-raise, because he WOULD be calling with AJ, QQ, and KQ and would be behind.
Just my 2c.
Agree with all sentiments so far. You start the hand with only 30BB and there is a wide range of hands that villian can have that you are beating. Jam-a-lamming the flop is best option here. When u flat the Villians 3bet you have put in half your stack, so its either shove flop or fold, and i dont think you can honestly fold ever in this spot

Thanks for the input everyone, turn went check-check, river went check-shove-fold. I definitely regretted not getting it in on the flop immediately after the hand. I ended building my stack back up some and took third for 170ish.
Never regret. Learn from it and move on. Nice score though, congrats
