Villain was playing 18/8, he opened 3x and i 3bet to 8x ip and flops come A high. How would you proceed? Check behind cuz im not getting any value of anything less than an ace or just cbet. If so then how much?

with your stack as it is i prefer to find out sooner rather than later if he has the A or not. Just take a stab and give up if he calls/raises. If you were deeper then i might check to get value from 99-QQ but here the pot is worth so much already just TID

totally agree. an ace when we hold it and when we dont is always and awesome card to rep when showing strentgh pre. as bigdog stresses n most of his vids cbet, cbet and cbet. it really does make errything else tons ezier. if he calls we're done unless we hit our miracle card on turn or river if we get there.

Definitely c bet there…especially with that texture.  I would c bet just over 1/2 pot like 650 and reevaluate if he elects to c/c, or c/r.  The villain is going to simply c/f the majority of the time but if he c/c, depending on the turn you can double barrel or try to get to sd depending on the action of the villain.  Utilize your poisition.

ty sir.

I usually cbet 90-95% of the time, but this time being so shallow I was thinking that maybe i couldve pot controlled by checking behind, but if villain bets the turn I might be inclined to call the river aswell not knowing where i stand. agree that cbetting, taking control of the pot/taking the lead gives you the info you need.
