Hey guys, this is from the Nigthly 30k on Stars
Villain who squeezed from the SB had been active running 22/18/12 over 126 hands, but was a small winning recreational player according to OPR.
I have an active image running around 20/18/10 and been fortunate to hit a few hands.
Because of both of our images I didnt mind flatting see a hand in position.
Any thoughts on whether to bet turn and what sizing? Also whether to bet river and sizing
Cheers

He's either pot controlling with the intention of check/calling or he has completely given up onthe river as I would expect a blocker / value bet from any decent top pair, overpair or set. Depending on how tricky this player is I would seriously consider a thin value bet on the river. having said that, what worse hands are calling? JT, TT maybe, AK (doubt it), thats about it. What better hands are c/calling or c/raising? KQ, AQ, AJ, KK, AA, JJ, 99 – um on reflection I think I check back with my showdown value.

do you check back the turn? i dont
It depends on villain, but its a great card to barrell turn and river as the board is now super wet and villain will have a hard time calling down without significant improvement.

I think checking back turn here vs an agressive opponent is ideal as our hand can’t take a check raise. I think valuebetting river is too thin as we are value owning ourself vs most of his check call range, and if he is tricky he might be able to c/r us off the hand when we have him beat.
Check out my "going pro" poker journal, updated weekly with wins, losses and my progress as a player:
I think his 3 bet sizing is screaming that he has the nuts. 2.5x the open OOP when the cutoff flats is screaming nutty holding imo. 22/18/12 are very good numbers so if he has ak.aq i think he makes it a lot bigger especially playing this deep. Had he been running 34/26/18 i wouldnt range him on just the nuts.
I still think you are deep enough to flat, that wasn't my point. Im simply breaking down the hand as i would look at it. In fact, im flatting your hand in pos 100% of the time as kj suited can smack flops.
Def calling flop bet,
def checking back turn as i think he could be pot controlling over pairs without FDs. Again, his preflop 3 bet sizing is screaming that he wants action and has the nuts .
river
i would lose 5 months of sleep over this decision and nit check back—I think it is a nutty spot for him to bluff catch missed FDs with overpairs
