Hey,

Reads – Villain seems pretty aggro , I’ve not seen any hands showdown though.

we’re just over 15bb effective , folding here seems too weak and i think stacks are to shallow to flat , also sb/bb could quite possibly squeeze. Given these reads i think re-stealing here is pretty good.

so ya i think re steal is the best option.

thoughts?

Looks good to me. You’ve got a stack with resteal equity, you’ve noted that he’s aggro, and I think you’re right about flatting being too passive here.

Take it down!

That’s my non-pro opinion.

It’s all about the opener’s range here. You are not desperate enough that your couldn’t wait for an opportunity to open-shove. How is KJ going to play vs. his opening range? SB may call you pretty wide with 50 BB also. I’ll assume if you flat, the SB could squeeze or even call and come along. So not thrilled, yet KJs not so bad for the SB call result. Normally though, not flatting much with 16 BB.

Some of this is game flow and your in the moment read is more than we can feel in a post and your not in a spot where someone is going to say “ohh that’s awful” so I think you are fine here.

Are you shoving based on the opener’s range? Then KJ is more than enough? If he was maybe a a little less aggro, what would the bottom of your shove range be here? If it’s still KJ, then the question answers itself.

I'm shoving based on my openers rangeand that they will raise/f often enough to make this resteal profitable. I think KJs is going to play pretty well against their range we will have roughly 36% equity when called.

If v was less aggro i'd still prolly get in this in , espically if they've been r/f to shove. The bottom of my shoving range would be prolly 22-55 , JTs, KTs , QTs, maybe JQs those type of hands , that's against a less aggro opponent.

I think flatting is also fine to get ourselves out of the situation we are in (barely over 15bbs). There is a case for flatting if he is too aggro. Our hand will also be concealed because I think it is better than a regular minraise calling range.

What Im trying to get at is when you shove it, you will collect a nice little pot. But this hand has potential for a double up, maybe even a triple up if played multiway. I know we are shallow, but not very desperate. So, I may just call this to extract more value depending on what develops. Plus, we will be on the button and thats a huge factor in justfying a flat here.

But shoving does not look bad at all.

These are also my non-pro opinions 🙂
