Hey guys check out this hand..

Most of the times i lead on flops like these because i`m ahead of their limping range mostly  and leading on this flop tells me more info about where i am in the hand. I can extract values from low/medium pairs, some A4, A6, 57, 78 broadways, etc.

When he calls the flop it doesnt tells me much because all the range that i`m still putting him on. I check to control the size of the pot and see what he does. (OOP i think is best to take a cautious way with marginal holdings inspite the fact that on this board it doesnt represent that much on his range).

He checks the turn. I think this takes him out of trips, full houses because he should be betting those to make a pot. I`m basically putting him on broadways, A4, straight draws, low/mid pairs.

The K on the river is good for me to extract some value because hits some of his broadway range and he should be paying for those 60-70% of the pot. Then he suddenly x/raise, hahaha. I really thought this was a K (KQ, KJ, KT, unlikely K4s) and because the board was so dry he wanted to make the pot bigger.

Anyway, i guess i should had followed Andrew Brokos assumption of when ppl play passive-passive-aggressive generally means a monster but i don`t wanna be results oriented, hehe.

When i calls he shows me…. SURPRISE SURPRISE….. 46s for a full house!

What you guys thinks about the play?

Thanks for attention and replies

I like your flop lead.  Not a fan at all of turn check.  He could have so many draws, that we shouldnt be all that concered with pot control.  Especially on boards liek this here we dont expect him to bluff over top of us on turn often.

Once the river comes and he raises, I cant see all that many hands we are ahead of.

Its wierd because of his turn check.  It seems like he is drawing or weak and is pot controlling IP, but then raises an effective blank(for his range) on the river.  So he is signalling that he has a good hand or missed draw, but the type of people that bluff missed draws here with a raise are also the type that bet turn checked too with a draw.  So I would side with a monster.

Its also not a huge pot where bluffing has huge returns.  He has 80 chips invested, so it doesnt seem like a spot where we expect him to bluff a lot.

Thanks CCuster

The thing is that im not thinking that he is bluffing. I think because the board is so dry for his point of view that he can do this play with a K.
