Hey guys,

Just wondering what your thoughts are with this hand.. Do we open 2.1x & fold to 3bet? Do we open shove here or just fold?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.. At this point in the tournament there were approx 200 runners/4k that started & blinds seemed to be reasonably tight but no real info known.

The blinds actually have 16bb each but I could not correct the title after I made it live?

i shove here a lot of the time – but i think its a leak

i just checked the ICM pushbot spreadsheet, and this play is pretty much neutral EV or very slightly -EV so i think its a fold or maybe you can raise-fold if you like but i dont think you should be open shoving.

cheers for the hand, it made me analyze a spot where i obv make a mistake myself a lot.

Thanks for the reply..

I dont suppose you have that pushbot shove chart at all handy that you could link me with or point me in the right direction of..

Its something I have wanted to look at for ages.. I used to have one with SNG Wiz but the highest Tournament that covers is 180 man SNG's.

here is the link. …..ou-824728/

RFB also has a maths spreadsheet as part of his MTT math video (…../mtt-math/) but TBH i prefer the pushbot one as it has a graphical representation of the EV of each hand.

if they seem reasonably tight then just minraise/fold.

the reason shoving can be valuable in spots like this is when A) the blinds are aggressive restealers and B) we have a hand with too much equity to raise/fold (like QTs or KJo).

i think shoving is super high variance.

If the two blinds are tight you can def put in a raise and fold to their shove.  If they've shown any type of activity I'd just roll my eyes and fold.
