Before black Friday I played on Poker Stars and used Poker Tracker software.  But then I transferred to Cake which is now Juicy Stakes.  When it was Cake they said that they didn't send the hand histories so it wasn't possible to use tracking software.  I'm assuming that's still the same but if not I'd appreciate finding out and getting a recommendation for the best software to use.  I always thought Poker Tracker was great and had a lot more information than I really used but maybe there is something better out there.

Currently the only information I get about the other players is from SharkScope.  This is obviously helpful but if there is something else available that's better, and possibly cheaper, I'd be interested.

Thanks,

MoBear68

What are you running Windows or Mac? I also moved this to the technology forum as it is more suited there.

I'm sort of an old, technologically impaired geezer using a desktop with Windows 7.  Sorry about posting on the wrong forum but it was actually all I could handle to just make the post.  There was something wrong with my initial setup apparently as I didn't have the button that says “Add New Topic” (or whatever) but the support guys fixed it.

I just went to the Technology Forum to see if there were any responses on that but I didn't see the post at all.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Something is wrong with my tools, so I could not move it. I was hoping you would get more responses in that forum, I do not play on Juicy Stakes, but I will look into and see what I can find for software.  I have used both Poker Tracker and Hold Em manager in the past and really like them, I think HM has more options. Do you play a lot of tournaments?

Thanks for looking into it.  Guess I could do that myself but was hoping someone already knew.  I play maybe three tournaments a day – I'm the last of the small time gamblers.  My record on SharkScope is 1,185 tournamnets at an average buy in of $5.55 and a profit of $1,512.  Perhaps I shouldn't have quit my day job?  Just kidding – I'm retired and enjoy the diversion but would like to try to move up which is why I signed up for TPE.

From what I read Hold'em Manager will work with Juicy stakes and Poker Tracker 4 should work as well, but PT needs to be updated to the latest version. I know there are some cheaper options for software out there, but the support community is not that huge so solving bugs and errors can be problematic.  If you have PT 4 should be able to get it going.

Thanks for the information – after seeing your post I checked my computer and found that I have a bunch of Cake and Juicy hand histories.  So I'm importing them now and then I'll probably upgrdae to PT4.  Again, thanks for looking into this for me
