hey guys, is this a bad 3bet shove spot? OR wasn't getting out of line and I thought he would have folded without monster. Blinds were fairly TAG. Just trying new plays. Please feel free to let me know if I'm a complete donk. Thanks for the help.

You have FE. Good hand to shove against a Hijack opener in a 6 max MTT although 23 bb 3 bet shoves really aren't necessary in $2 mtt's to be honest. You'll get called by shit that should fold because they don't know any better.

I see people call 20 bb shoves with crap like 33 when the call reps half their stack – it's so clowny.

I don't like the shove for the same reason FK pointed out. Majority of the players at these stakes are players learning or the donks that will gamble with anything because it is only a couple of bucks.

bad players will also call with things like QJ and KQ, so i would much rather A7s in this spot than JT

Honestly i don like it, the reason is that you are giving up your positional advantage with a hand that flops great at a level where players will stack off on many flops that you hit. Ibflat here.

I rather 3bet shove from the sb or bb and with a hand like 66 or Ax. Or even 89s

I do like the out of the box thinking. Maybe that is what my game needs more of.

I find that reads are super important in this situation, do you have any? If you use tracking software check outhis fold to 3bet %, and how often he steals. I don’t play 6 max much, so not aware of what numbersmake this a good spot to shove…

I do agree with the above comments, the blinds better to shove from, but really a flat is good with your position and how week your cards flop. suited As or Ks better for 3bet shoving?

Its either a shove or fold.  Please do not flat here with 23bbs.  I like the reasoning behind FK's decision to fold being that it is a $2 tourny and str8 forward play is the best.  JTcc would be a great shove if you had 12-18bbs.  23bbs I would be a little more patient.
