Don’t recall the buy in, but this is a FO on ACR.

When thinking about my double barrel range here, I wasn’t sure if this hand should fall in the check or bet turn category. Having the jack of clubs obviously plays an important role.

I feel like when I do check this turn back, I’m giving up most of the time and check/folding. Which probably isn’t good.

I wonder if having JTo in my checking range on the turn balances my range out a bit.

All that being said, I do think there are a number of worse hands in villain’s range that would benefit from a free card on the river. Less so since we have the Jc.

I wonder what my check/calling range on the turn should look like.

how does your betting range on the flop look like?

from there  i would go to decide which flop betting hands you might use to c/c turn.

and the other way around you could also look at your flop check hands and see which hands you would use to ebt on turn if checked flop

As you say, you block a lot of the draws (QJ is also significant) you’d want to “charge” with a turn bet. I’d actually give serious consideration to checking flop with this hand and using stronger kickers with fewer backdoors for the Ts in your value betting range.

As played, what message does it send to check the turn? The turn card doesn’t change much, but if it induces a bet would your call make V think you’re on a draw?

Is using “charge” in that context a misnomer? I assumed it was another way of saying “bet for value”.laugh

Checking the flop makes a lot of sense, thanks!

what i wanted to add to my previous post.

my gut feeling says that this board hits his calling range probably better than our raising range. so i am not sure if we should have a betting range here at all and instead defend with a lot of c/c and c/r

and especially use a lot of our Tx hands to bet big on turn if checked on flop by villain
