big 5.50 blinds 125/250, i have 17k im in sb with jj folded to button who has 18k who min raises, i have no info on him but hes british player, bb has 4.5k so i think il flat out of position and see if bb shoves then maybe i win big pot, bb folds flop k72 two spades i have j spades, he bets 500 i call turn 4 spades i check he bets 1.8k which is very big bet, is this strength or weakness is he just tryin to make me fold best hand? i have no idea what to do here, any ideas welcome ty Dan

think this is a sigh fold on turn, think he is betting big for value with Kx with a spade. Even if a spade hits rvr ur not sure if your good or not. I understand the idea of trying to induce the BB shove but I think JJ is a little to vunerable for this, think I prefer to 3bet pre, as you can get into tricky spots like this one.

yes i could 3 bet pre but ive seen some of the pros training videos and i think some of them are flatting jj here to induce wide shove from bb and to get value from button raiser who may not have good hand to call 3 bet as played i aggree its a tough spot if i call turn i prob have to call river and i expect a big bet maybe on way on river which is double tough

i think unless you have seen BB shoving wide beforehand, i would definitely just 3bet this pre. Maybe at higher stakes you can rely on a squeeze shove a lot more often from BB, but in the big 5.5 i think its definitely a mistake to take this as your default line, especially when the button can be flatting a whole lot of worse hands than yours.
