hi,

big stack viilain in kind of unknown. i have just been moved to this table. However through about 15 hands he has been v. active pre. I dont love the flop cause of the possobility having 7 in his range. i thought he might have limped small suited connectors. anyway i decided to valute bet the flop. on the turn i wasn't sure if not to check/call or ch/shove but i also ranged him for ace rag and i thought i can get value from such kind of hand and i didnt want him to check back. his previoulsy played hands have me information that he may be weak player. when he jamed i thought i am not necessarily behing- he might have draws.

how would You act in that spot?

this is 10 dol early antes tourney

cheers

i like betting flop and turn if you check in either spot you are in a tough spot when he bets and i think there are lots of hands that would peel the flop that you are ahead of.  i like betting turn to floating is just too common nowadays to just check there.

when he shoves i dont like my hand anymore really it just seems to marginal to be getting it in this early in the tournament, sure there are plenty of hands he could be semibluffing here but there are also a good amount of hands he could be holding that crush our jacks now.  i think i would fold and look for a better spot hopefully in position against this type of player.

I think you played it alright until the river, I agree with the raise pre since no one opened.  I agree with c-bet and another firing on the turn. However, on the river I would have check it, I am worried he has not folded by now.  I have no problem laying it down, but I would have not fired on the river, I would have went with check-fold. I don't like people calling me down when they limp from early position and smooth call everything-just looks very strong; even though Jacks are an overpair to the board.

Raise more pre.  Probably something like 450-500 being out of the blinds.  That should isolate the field a bit more and allow you to proceed and evaluate the rest of the hand better.  Here, we are playing a guess game.

The iso size has been covered well here so I won't worry about that. As far as the river, I think you are going to see a big bet from this type of player if you check. In this case you bet 3 streets and he didn't get frisky until the river, unfortunetly there are a lot of hands that you beat that try this move as well as a ton of his perceived range that absolutely crushes you. I think you have to fold here and not be happy about it. Wein captured it well, you are stuck in a huge guessing game here, my advice is it isn't worth the gamble to find out if your ahead.

What's this river thing? Villain reshoves on the turn.

You showed a lot of strenght preflop, so villain can confidently put you on a big PP. I believe villain's protecting his hand against the FD that turned and just wants to get it in here or he wants max value with a flopped/turned boat. He either has a 7, flopped a boat or is completely bluffing which I doubt in a $10 mtt where people call off lighter. Since you aleady have over a third of your stack in it makes it less likely villain's bluffing here.
