Pre Flop: (t3750) Hero is BB with J of diamonds J of hearts
poquerman86 raises to t4000, 7 folds, Hero raises to t9600, poquerman86 raises to t39853 all in, Hero calls t30253

Flop: (t81856) 3 of hearts 5 of diamonds 3 of diamonds (2 players – 1 is all in)

Turn: (t81856) 8 of clubs (2 players – 1 is all in)

River: (t81856) 5 of spades (2 players – 1 is all in)

Always unsure about these types of spots. Only played 4 hands with the villian so no reads there. But what do i do with a UTG raise and i have JJ. I feel like i should be 3betting here because smaller pocket pairs, A9+ maybe KQs are all in his range. Should i just flat here and take a flop? but then board comes like it does and what do i do or with over cards and i have to fold to a c-bet. Do i have enough in my stack to raise fold pre? I'm leaning towards the last option but i'm not sure.

Really? are you not running into a bigger hand just too much of the time, i mean his line is pretty strong, raise UTG then shove on a big blind 3bet. How much of the time are we against a weaker hand?

I'd wouldn't be happy getting it in here either… UTG smells like a monster!

I would time bank here….then factor in a few things even though we don't have much history with villian.

I would look at his country of origin.  I would look at how quickly he four bet jammed. Then I would would pokerdb him and find out his stats.

Then I would make an educated guess as to what this player might be capable of, then act accordingly.

Its not always as black and white as, I had JJ, he four bet from UTG, so I must be beat, or I must call.

Poker is a game of information.  Against an unknown in this spot, it is prob a fold imo, as you are at best racing against AK most of the time.

If this guy is from Finland, is a winning player, and 4 bet quickly, it's a snap call.

Side Note:  you're 3 bet is fairly small, which is screaming a big hand, and he still 4 bets.
IMO, for him to 4 bet jam in this spot, after you've shown extreme strength, you are VERY rarely ahead here with JJ.

So most people think its a 3bet pre? Does anyone flat pre? As played he snap jammed so kingten is probably right that this is a fold then.

I like a 3bet as well but I definitely think we can fold to his jam. His line represents 10's+ or AK. Your stack is big enough to 3bet/fold.

I don't hate flatting pre.

I flat and check/jam when an A or K doesn't flop. Strongest line IMO.

When you 3 bet JJ here the villain should be folding a lot of smaller pairs and the weaker Ax hands he'd open.

When he 4 bet jams your equity vs. that range really sucks.
