Just a line check, I think I played it ok, but i was maybe a little on tilt after getting coolered twice sitting 30/90 in the 2.20 2.5k guar turbo.

I was interpreting his small bet sizing as weak attempts at trying to make a stand, does everyone agree, or does it look like value bets?

I guess that was what my 3bet was to find out anyway.

No info, just moved here not long before.

So yeah just line check and bet sizing feedback, much appreciated.

Seems a like the line is a bit weak, especially the flop, you gave him control of the pot, essientially he named his price for the next card.  I would raise him on the flop to 1500-1650 and if he 3 bets you you can evaluate and maybe fold depending.  That said, right now you really do not know where you are and if he is on a fl draw, you want to dictate what he will pay for his draw, not the other way around.  And if he does raise you on the flop and decide to drop it, you save chips vs the turn raise followed here.

It feels like Ax or a PP. Possibly A9 based on his line on the flop and turn. His 3bet was so standard from the button and he has such a wide range here I think you have no idea where you're at.  I think a 4bet and fold to a shove would have been fine that deep pre.  I would put him on either a small PP or complete air. I would have raised the flop as mentioned above with such a small bet.

Hey thanks for the responses. I feel the need to explain my train of thought a little more as I was still multi tabling when I posted originally.

Ok, so when I say I just moved to the table, I mean less than two orbits, in that time I'd opened a few times with little opposition. So it's likely that v think I'm just stealing, and can 3bet with a lot of Ax, broadway, etc.

I don't mind the flop with my overpair obviously, so I think checking to the aggressor then calling his standard cbet with the intent of c/r a lot of turn cards then giving up if he 4bets the turn.

The small sizing of his turn bet looks like he knows he should 2barrell but didn't really want to giveaway too many chips, putting him on 2overs or a flush draw with a reasonable amount of air also, so I'm happy to 3bet and finish the pot here, if he 4bets I'm probably giving up.

So I guess yeah I didn't find out where I was with my flop action, but I thought I had a reasonable plan and stuck to it, was prepared to give it up if needed.

*** EDIT

The more I think about it, and have discussed it with a couple of other players, check raising the flop only gets me to fold to 4bet bluffs  or hands i am beating like A9, otherwise it folds out hands that I can check call when villian barrels turn and river with AK-AQ etc, wayyyy more than the times he has overpairs, which his bet sizing leads me to think he rarely has QQ-AA.

“Watch4sharx” you said : I would put him on either a small PP or complete air. I would have raised the flop as mentioned above with such a small bet.

– this is what im saying, why would i want to raise him out of the pot on the flop when we can give him the chance to spew off chips on future steets.
