JJ 3 bet from SB with history

I had been at the table for about 4 orbits and villain opened
the last 3 from UTG and had checked down A5s in one of them, he was playing 17
14 but passive post flop, in this hand I am not concerned about the result, it
is what it is, and I don’t care, what interests me more is how I played the
hand pre flop with reads.

Did I make a complete mess of this pre flop as he opens UTG
or is the right play just to flat in this spot?

Some feedback would be great and also is my sizing ok given
stacks?

Since you will be out of position if he calls. Then I will just showe pre. He only have 18bb's.

If you were a little deeper. I would make the 3-bet to 9000. (2.5x his bet) Because you are going to be out off position.

You can just shove here profitably.  Playing post flop and folding devastates your stack and you have good equity vs what I perceive to be his opening range:

equity win tie pots won pots tied

Hand 0: 44.605% 43.76% 00.84% 346202088 6662016.00 { 77+, AJs+, AQo+ }

Hand 1: 55.395% 54.55% 00.84% 431558328 6662016.00 { JJ }

Even if you tighten him up it's a neutral equity spot that's +EV given the overlay from blinds and antes:

equity win tie pots won pots tied

Hand 0: 49.816% 48.85% 00.96% 316194324 6243024.00 { 99+, AQs+, AQo+ }

Hand 1: 50.184% 49.22% 00.96% 318570540 6243024.00 { JJ }
