There are abot 40 left in a $20 Freezeout on iPoker network, 18 paid. I have 31 BBs. Blinds are 200/400/50.

I have recently moved table and of the 15 so hands at the table I have played just 2, showing down neither, one of them being a UTG min bet that got through. So unless he hands previous hands on me (I have none on him) I should have a tight image.

I get AKo in UTG+1 and raise to 800 (min). Folds to SB who 3 Bets to 3150, he has me covered. BB folds.

So in this spot is anyone folding?

Is it always a jam or does anyone like flatting as would have position?

Fold AK?  Possibly.  If the 3-better was a supernit who hardly ever raises, he must be incredibly strong here because you are early.  The key I think is the read on the 3-bettor, not just your image.  Some people never 3-bet AK or AQ here, and have say only QQ+, so why would you want to get your chips in?   Tons of other people can be wide here so AK is fine to shove with.  Assign some ranges and play around with poker stove, then you can start seeing how to play against different types.

There was no read on this guy so I was unsure what to do. AK is premium but against a nit in this spot your flipping at best dominated a lot of the time imo. I'll check out some ranges in PokerStove, thanks

when he makes that big raise i would allways just shove.

When its this big i dont think he has AA/KK that often. If he has 66-99 and just wanna “see where he is” its a really good pot to just take down.

AK is doing good vs that range and i cant see what else you can do. I dont wanna call and i dont wanna fold.

I meant vs good players (but he isnt good, since the sizing) you could click it back. But this isnt one of those spots.
Just get it in is best in my opinion.

I personally 4 bet get it in. There are some bluffs in his range near the bubble. This is the spot in the tourney when called and you win, you are in position A to go for the win. As “Bigdog” always says….Go or the win!

almost never a fold here.  I assume this guy woke up with the very tip top of his range, and you are maybe second guessing your jam?

He doesn't have you dominated enough of the time for this to ever be a fold, or a flat preflop, without a RIDICULOUS read that he has aces.

Yeah, he had Aces. I was sorta sure the jam was the right move but when you’ve grinded so far to get coolered it’s tough so thought I’d post. Thanks for the comments, makes me feel better about the move.
