So, this hand was interesting. Villain was best described as a tight and fairly passive reg of what seemed like mediocre ability, who I didn't recognise. We had no real history, I hadn't been playing too many hands and he was running roughly 13/9 or something.
I think pre and flop are standard. I checked turn because I thought his flop c/c range as PFR was mostly AK/AQ, and I was planning to go for thin value on rivers instead of probably folding out those hands on turn. However, when he bombs river like that I just can't put him on a bluffing range. I feel like he would check his A high hands and pray for showdown, so now I think he has an overpair which he slowplayed for some reason, or he binked his T on river. Having said that, I don't really know what my range looks like on turn, or whether villain was even competent at all – he could easily have been pretty bad and making a mistake here.

Just to double check – this is after the rebuy period is over?
Think you have to fold to this rvr bet. Looks to me like he is trapping with big pair and was probably planning on c/r you on the turn but when you check back he doesnt get the opportunity. Looks like he is going for max value on rvr from exactly the kind of hand you have. Some % of the time this might be a bluff if he thinks you have a hand like AJ AQ and is trying to get you to fold a chop.

I can’t see a tight/passive reg doing this with anything other than an overpair or boat. Good fold imo.
I am interested in the turn check decision though. I would probably bet this turn if I thought his range was mostly overcards, especially if I thought he was giving up unless he hits. Anyone else betting the turn?

Need to bet turn both for value and to better define hand ranges in my opinion. Now we're stuck in a sort of wtf spot and are blindly guessing at a range that's probably more value hands than bluffs.
Tight/passive regs aren't betting this river with Ax and KQ type hands often enough so we shouldn't level ourselves into thinking we're trying to be blown off a chop.
His hand range does look like it could be overpairs or 88 a lot. I'd expect the unpaired broadways to c-bet almost always.
Yes, we fold a boat but also the one of the weakest ones we can have. I don't really see a call being profitable often at all.
