This is a spot I have found myself in a few times, do we shove to re-steal and obviosuly hate it if we're called or do we just fold and look for an open shove spot?

60 people left out of 4000, Villain has opened a few pots and called an all in 4 hands ago with A8.

I think it is a call your M is quite low at this point just under 6.  This would be good topic for the jam fold chart.  Based on his stack size FTART should have the widest opening range at the table.  Based on the little info he is acitive.  Did you have a plan for jam ranges against everyone at the table?

A5o is 'only' a profitable reshove if villian will fold a few of his opening range.

i.e.

if his opening range is (15%) 77+,A7s+,K9s+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KTo+,QJo
but his call a shove range is (10%) 88+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,AJo+,KQo

If he is never going to fold any open and at $2 that happens, id be a bit more cautious.

Taking villians (15%) 77+,A7s+,K9s+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KTo+,QJo

we need  (17%) 66+,A4s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,A9o+,KTo+,QJo to give us equity of 49.142%, enough to be profitable.

Any stronger reads or stats on villian?

No no stats as don't use a HUD.

Villain has been one of the more active at the table but not crazy bt any stretch

Since you are somewhat readless I would be more conservative. At this stake you are not getting folds as often to 3bet shoves and with your stack this is a marginal spot. I think you are better off looking for an open shove spot and 3bet shoving LP limpers.

With his M already so low this is a shove.  If he folds you pick up 45000 chips which puts you in position to better pick your spots.  At this point it cost 21000 chips per orbit. How many hands can he wait for this type of spot again before he is forced to make any play? Maybe 18 hands?

Shoving is fine but even waiting and open shoving 10bb's these days is just fine. Late in tourneys such as this it might pay off to wait instead of 3bet 15bb's with A5o against villian who open 3x's and no reads of opening light.

open shoveing in these micros is alot easier to push through at this point of the tourney imo peoples snap off ranges arnt as lose as the higher stakes just due to awareness, i prolly dont 3 bet shove A5 here il fold this spot and open steal a few more pots rather than 3 bet shove a naked ace, and also you mentiond that he just snapped called a few hands earlier with A8 so fosho i muck

agree with everyone else, i would gladly open shove this but i doubt you have any FE here so i would fold – better to shove T8o on your next button

Very little FE here would much rather open shove even more so at the lower stakes as players dont call wide enough.
