Is this a good spot for a 3bet steal? we have a blocker with the A and Villain has opened a fair bit? should we take into consdiertion the people behind us?

imo you dont have to worry about the people behind, because they have to have premiums to call you down here given their stack sizes, but what you do have to have in this spot is a definite read that the MP2 will fold to your shove. it is only half his stack to call, so i think he will be doing it a bit lighter than anyone else on the table. if you are just doing it because it could be a good spot then that is a little spewy imo, you want to have a good idea that you will get a fold.

i would much rather pick on UTG1, UTG2, MP1 rather than the MP2 because they will all be crippled if they call you and lose, wheras MP2 will still have 30bb if he calls and loses which is dangerous for you

Seems too risky/spewy to me. Think you are only
called in this spot by hands that crush you.

If you think both blinds are folding most of the time…
Im not opposed to 3betting here in position.

I like the 3time bet here instead of shipping because
You have too many chips. You get the same info
And will win this pot most of the time.

Secondly….you say he’s been opening quite a bit.
what is your image? Have you been 3betting alot?
I think you’ll get credit for a big hand here. If he 4bets(which
Is unlikely) you think can safely assume you’re beat and
move on.

Isn't this just a plain and simple fold or shove – surely peeling or 3bet folding is the ourselves from 23 to 18 is the worst here isn't it?

I am still working on my stack sizes with regards for perfect stack sizes for re-shoving/3 betting light/open shoving etc…. – is 23 bb's just a bit too large to be 3-bet shoving light to pick up 5 bb's – should we be saving this for whenj we are down to the 15 – 20 bb range?

tbh i  will 3bet shove all the way up to about 25bb, not sure if that is spewy or not.

raise-folding is the worst option imo, a decent big stack is just going to jam his stack in your face every time if you do this.

folding is prolly best, and 3bet shoving is ok only if you have a very specific read.

if i'd play this hand i would never 3x, i'd always 3bshove with this stack

BUT i'm not sure if i would pick this spot cause i would also look more for stealing on the smaller stacks (like benny said)

but it definetly depends on how those guys play,

and if OR opens a lot but has a tendency of folding to a 3b, ofcourse  i'd also pick on him.

If villain has been active in lp raising to pick up some blinds I believe this is a fine spot to 3bet shove and increase your stack over 20%.

The fact that villain “only” has to call off 40% of his stack can also be interpreted as he “risks” losing 40% of his stack which we use to our advantage by applying pressure with a 3bet shove. 30bb isnt that much if the next level starts.
