I have 22 big blinds left with a stack of 110,000. I am on the Small blind with J10 suited hearts. The blinds are 2500 5000. I shove the bb which had a stack of 124,000. He ended up calling with AQ off suit, so i am regreating the shove which i thought was a positive EV shove. I would like to know if I was wrong in thinking that it was a positive EV shove. I feel that if i raised 3x and if would re raise I would fold leaving me with 19 big blinds so i decided to just shove instead of raise fold…… Is this the wrong thought process.

It’s a hand that flops well but it’s still J high and I don’t like jamming into another big stack like this deep in a tournament. Maybe it’s a weak move but I try to see a flop for cheap here.
If a small to medium stack is in the bb I’d just jam instead.
Someone let me know if it’s a standard shove spot.
22BB makes this ackward, whats our read on the BB? Is he passive? Could we limp in? If he is pretty aggro I think I just fold, like Fkcooler said we have a drawing hand and they dont play so well late, If you had say 15BB or less this clearly becomes a shove imo. Its so close I would probably fold and find a better spot to get my money in, you still have some breathing room.
This is as borderline as it comes. I think its marginally ev because your risking a fair amount of chips. I dont hate the shove but could def live with a fold. UL he wakes up with aq and holds through the hand. Sometimes there is no right answer because this is real close imo.
