Just curious if anybody would 5bet in this spot.  The villian's stats are 20/18 over 189 hands.  They have been pretty aggressive and raising a lot of pots.  I have seen him 3bet with small pairs earlier in the this tournament. This person had also 4bet me about half hour earlier.  I decided to flat his 4bet because I had position.

Should I have called the his c-bet?  Could I have played this hand differently?  There was around 30 people left in this tournament

i dont mind the way you played the hand, i dont think this is ever a 5 bet in this situation, UTG raised and you RR UTG + 2,, then got cold 4 bet from the BB, usually in these positions it is never a move, as the hands are just always big UTG and UTG 1 therfore i think BB has a monster here 95% of the time….

i am prob playing hand same as you here, cant fold preflop as you have position and heaps of chips, so set mining here is fine, i am also fine with the fold on the flop, one of the worst flops you can see, and we may be drawing to 1 clean out…or none!

I like to see the opr of those guys first, before make a move here, if he is a winning player, i`ll respect less hes 4bet for sure.

I think i would call pre flop for sure, he is as deep as u are, and u have a great implied odds of hitting the set on the flop.

And the flop is the worst possible, not even a J flushdraw u have in there, if u float, villiam u probabilly fire again and a pretty sizeble bet on the turn, and u`ll dont know what to do.

I think u took the best line possible for u hand on the flop and pre flop.

Cant fold to villians range pre flop, cant call a bet on that flop.

how on earth are you respecting his raise LESS if hes a winning player, if hes a winning player he recognizes UTG raised and UTG1 3 bet, and these are big hands, and he is never 4 betting light….not respecting smoeones 4 bet becuase they are a winning player is a absolute horrible theory to have of when you should call a 4 bet and not….look at the actual situation of the hand not the player……sure if CO opens BU raises and solid winning played 4s from BB he could be light, but with UTG raise and UTG 1 3 bet, a solid winning player isnt just rando cold 4ing the BB cuz he htinks he can steal it lol, that is a complete fish play

I think you played it fine, and this flop blows.

5 bet/folding is about the only thing worse than getting 60 bb in pre with JJ if you don't have some real specific reads on your villain.

I'm just saying i'm definitely not going to 5-bet for value without some ridiuclous 100k hand dynamic.

But yeah I think op played this hand fine.
