Was calling the first push, but when the villain pushed on top, I really didn't know what to do. Is it possible to fold KK here? Villain read is that is uber aggressive. Only been at his table maybe three orbits, but he had no problem calling all in preflop with 78s a couple of times, getting very lucky flops.

I suspected that both could have had an Ace, thereby only having two more to catch, but I still atongized over this. Is this an easy fold or just a bad beat?

Here's my thinking.
For me, this is a pretty deep run in this tourney. And I've got a very nice stack, something I usually struggle with (btw, thanks TPE!). Figure if I fold here, I still got my stack and can pick a better spot to get my chips in, although better spots than this don't come around very often. I've seen the aggressor call AIPF with suited connectors twice, so I'm thinking his range here for jamming has to be JJ+, AQo+. I ran the numbers in equilator and yea I was way ahead of his range, but KK are ace magnets, and since he had me covered, this was a decision for my tournament life.
FTR, I did call, although reluctantly. I'm not near good enough to fold KK here. Short stack showed A9o, Villain showed AKo. Not one, but both aces on the flop, and my tourney is over.
Imo folding kk when your reads of your villians Ax because of kk being ace magnets suggests you could benefit from the article “Are You Taking Out The Trash?” (under articles here on TPE). No doubt it stings when good times go bad but giving weight to decisions on past negative results when in a premium spot, with a good read, and a premium hand, is not the mindset one should have. Guilty of this myself and found this to be a great step to changing my mindset to the now.
I know its painful but think about it this way: you are 72% to win against both of these guys, so if you do this every time you are going to end up with a monster stack (in this case 90+ BBs) 7 out of 10 times even if you are out the other 3.
Compare it to a situation where the villain does not shove: you are stil about 72% to win but you end up with about 50 BBs the same amount of time!
CAAAAALLLLL
Sorry but this is about an easy a call there is considering villain doesn’t have aces 99% of the time. Don’t second guess yourself just coz u busted on this hand. Sometimes you will get cold decked and an ace will flop, that’s poker. Blinds go up to quickly in tournaments to fold KK ever (unless it’s some ICM ridiculous spot) Still remember that from Harrington on holdem.
Wish I had the time to work out the math for you but I can’t since I’m at work. But this is a clear +cEv spot so basically your losing so many chips in the long run when you fold.
This would create a leak in your game if you folded this spot as standard. Don’t do it! Were not here to make you BAD at poker!

Look at it this way. To win you need all the chips. There aren't going to be many better opportunities than this.
