Hello all,

I am curious about this spot.  I would much rather have KQ or KJ here because they do so much better against the hands this villain will call me with.  Regardless, I may have made the wrong move.

This is a 10$ turbo 6-max, ITM nearing FT bubble.  I have taken a few hits and need to recover.  Villain is a winning player at 10$ avg. stakes. I have only 142 hands on him playing 41/18, 8% 3bet, 30% steal, and no folds to resteal yet after 2/2 calls.

I know I need to accumulate some chips, but don't think my fold equity here is very good and I don't dominate .. anything without a 3. I don't put him as wide as any two cards – he doesn't seem to be all that position steal happy (as compared to his being generally open or open/limp happy and sticky), so there aren't as many rag hands he can fold or call and be a dog to me with. Even against his wider holdings like 9T and such, A3 is just a slight favorite.  Should I take this spot or just wait and try to open shove some better spots in the next few orbits?

Thanks for reading!

Interesting spot. I would almost certainly fold here. A3s is more tempting, but you still don't have great equity and you're getting called really often. I would suggest running these calculations in ICMIZER and working out how wide his opening range needs to be for you to shove this hand if you know you're getting called 100% of the time.
