Poker Stars $75+$7 No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t200/t400 Blinds + t25 – 7 players
TournamentPokerEdge.com Hand History Converter

Setherson2 (CO): BB = 5.1, t2025
loooseslots (BTN): BB = 0.7, t295
lusrone (SB): BB = 0.9, t370
BigPairs (BB): BB = 5.4, t2145
NegPL (UTG): BB = 10.9, t4375
andrekos0095 (UTG+1): BB = 5.0, t1995
Hero (MP): BB = 5.7, t2295

Pre Flop: (t775) Hero is MP with Q of clubs 4 of hearts
3 folds, Setherson2 raises to t2000 all in, loooseslots calls t270 all in, lusrone calls t145 all in, 1 fold

I might be crazy but i tank thought about jamming this hand?? Even looking @ the HH now i think about jamming!

I figured i would only have to go through c/o and BB as if we were on the BTN.. they would give me a bit more credit for jamming into 4 players.. so they arent calling light imo

but more importantly.. if 1 or even both of the micro stacks call i'm never going to be crippled and have a chance to chip up and be CL on the bubble??

Would love feedback from someone with a solid SnG background Danny etc?

I am not an expert at Step tourneys but I think this comes down to the format and effective stacks. So I think this is a fold.

Hmmm interesting spot for sure. I like the idea of aggression and playing to win here. The CO and BB really can't call very light and judging from the micro stacks, they are not playing correctly unless they just took a hit, and are playing scared poker so they might not even call. I have no problem with a shove here. I mean essentially its like a button shove with 5 bbs with q4 which is fine anyway. With 5 places paid steps the two 5 bb stacks are really going to have to wake up with a hand to call, and even still you can win. I say shove and play to come top 2 (win) and advance to the next step. I am not a step expert btw, this is just my thought process off hand.

Thanks guys

Danny you are right about the fact that the other 2 involved were very scared and playing very tight

Both myself and seth had picked up on this and were challenging for their blinds

I ended up folding and eventually winning the step 4 ticket but going over this spot i could have realy pushed for a bigger lead and crushed the bubble (the step 4 bubble) even more

Play for the win more in future imo
