…..andNo=1652

this guy just move to my table and i only really have about 65 hands of history with him and he is running at 9/6.

his flat out of the SB led me to believe that checking the flop seemed OK for pot control.

thoughts on all streets and river especially.

thanks,

Checking flop seems ok. You don't want to get check raised and play a big pot as you said.

As played I call the Turn but I lean toward a river fold. Doubt he shows up with a worse Ace. Flush draws get there on us and he can also have AJ or AQ even though those probably get 3 bet more than flatted.

Meh… struggling to think of hands we beat except like 88-JJ and I feel like those want to get to showdown cheaply, not value bet us on the river.

Is it such a bad idea to re-raise turn and check river or fold if he bets into us?

If we're raising because we have the best hand we should bet the flop.

If our goal is to pot control this hand a turn raise blows that plan out of the water.

If we think he's barreling here with mid-pairs and air just to rep something we should just call and see if he fires a second shell on the river.

By raising the turn we'll get air to fold. Weaker aces probably aren't even in the hand because he's a tight player OOP. So you're valuetowning yourself if he flatted AK/AQ/AJ or made a set.

i really dislike a raise on the turn. It gives him a chance to fold worse hands and spazz out of us, which we would fold too.

I called turn to re-eval river and probably call like 80% of them, but when he pulled the trigger I could not see any bluffs in his range really

Our hand is rather underrepped here…..pretty sure I'm calling river as he def. could be v betting worse the AT

What range do you think? Not showing up often with some weak ace, right? He seems to play pretty snug.

I agree with cougar but in the same time he is rather nitty so I think he shows  AQ/AJs a lot and also 88-JJ. All in all, a river call is a must imho.
