So ive been pretty active and not really shown down any hands. Dont think villain is very good from what ive seen, just flat happy and is a losing player. Thoughts on the hand…

Ok I think folding is the right decision here. Although villian could be defending very light, based on how it played out he polarizes your hand on the turn. And i think this is a very heroic shove here that is uneccessary. You are still leaving yourself with 20bb if you fold at this point which is plenty of room to be comfortable with in a tournament. This seems very spewy of him regardless but I cant assume its that weak. For him to check call and then bet out on such a meaningless turn card, I cant be thinking hes going to be all that weak. A8 is not a hand I want to be taking to showdown on a board like this. Even if we are good at this point I think he gave the impression he isnt folding. Even if he holds like a K3 with the K of diamonds or K4 with the K of diamonds, we are very vulnerable. I think we live to see another day on this one.
This is a tough spot and kinda read dependant. If you have any history with this opponent as well it is a factor. But I think I just go ahead and rip here. I dont really see him just calling your c-bet and then betting this big on the turn with a monster. Hes trying to take this pot away imo. I think rip is fine. Although folding is not bad either. Its really a read dependant hand.
