Should I be raising or flatting otf? Should I be raising or flatting ott? No reads on opponent. I thought I have fold equity + lots of outs too so I shoved the turn, but I am not sure. I don't even know if I played flop good. Thanks for answers.

I'm raising the flop in position to ensure the guy behind us goes away and to give us the option of a free river card if our villain flats the raise and checks to us on the flop.

I don't think you'd need to raise that big – something like 650 seems ok. He does donk into many people so he should have a pretty good hand, too. If he shoves over the flop raise it sucks but we can probably just pitch it and we still have 3200-3300 chips which is fine.

The turn card is dirty and his bet is very strong. Tough spot.

I'd also raise the flop (~575) and probably flat the oop lead on the turn…. hoping to hit one of your 15 outs.  Given you missed it on the River, I'd be inclined to let it go. (I'd be interested in whether anyone would fire on the river if it was checked down). It appears that ggarethh is pretty happy with his hand which could be any pair, any A, any K…  I tend to avoid shoving into big stacks without having a made hand.

Agree with the above. 3bet the flop allows you to see exactly where you are at and continues to represent a big hand since you raised pre. He is not folding to your turn shove hardly ever given he bet almost pot and your shove is giving him about 2.2:1 for a massive pot. His pot bet really reduces your fold equity.

hey guys,

yea ill 3bet the flop too

as stated it will prevent the other villain from staying in the pot

also we could take the pot down by making better hands fold right here

if he comes back over the top i'm folding

if he flats the flop, he's most likely checking the turn, thereby giving us control of the pot and the ability to 2 barrel or check behind and make our hand. (fwiw i'd 2 barrell this turn b/c its such a good card for our hand and for him to be scared of. It obv wasnt a scare card for him in this case but i still think its a good card for us to bet at if we get the turn checked to us)

my response is nearly pointless here after the results of the hand, but i'll put my two cents in anyway. its early stages so i think our strategy has to change,  which is why i lean more toward the conservative approach here. we indicated that we had no reads on the villian so there is no need to spew(raising flop) by bloating pot with drw. we're being led into in a 3 way pot and have a pretty decent drw. i think the implied odds are monterous. also to mention i hate being push off a hand such as this. cause if we're shoved on from any spot we have to fold.  i like calling here at this stage of tourny. later stages id play hand exact same way when pick up the additional outs on turn with similiar stacks.

btw, even if we call his turn bet and fold river we still have 40+ bb's and a spot in the tournament.
