Buckleupson (MP3): BB = 7.1, t3535

killa1aces (BTN): BB = 36.6, t18299

JunkMonk (MP1): BB = 17.7, t8838
LeadVocals (MP2): BB = 28.1, t14036

Pre Flop: (t1250) Hero is BB with J of clubs J of diamonds
2 folds, pokernevanotag raises to t1300.00, JunkMonk calls t1300, 2 folds, TheWetBand1t calls t1300, killa1aces calls t1300, gooch23 calls t1050, (Hero)????

I know it's JJ and I have 12bb, but I feel I get called, possible multiple callers too often and I'll be looking to fade any overcards. Can I call T800 here leave ~10bb behind and jam any undercard flop…or is that just over thinking here?

meh i just stuff it in here. there a couple of times per tournament where you need to win a flip, and this is a great double or even triple up gamble spot imo.

Yeah def just jam.  I would never call here and have to fold post esp when so many overcards are possible.

Simple jam – lots of smaller pairs call on top of stuff that you flip against or may be dead to. Your equity is so good here.

Agree Shove here, all the callers have big stacks so less than 2.5bb to see a flop. Make em pay to stay!

Get it in quicker than if Meghan Fox was in front of you without clothes.

shoving>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>calling here for a few reasons.

we will most likely thin the field at least a little, which will improve our equity. we also don't give smaller pairs/unpaired hands the opportunity to fold on unfavorable flops.

or more simply, get it in faster than if megan fox were sitting in front of you naked.

LOL!

My thinking for calling was that likely one or more call my shove and then get to see all 5 cards, but if I flat and jam an undercard flop I can likely TID if they holding overcards. If overcards hit the flop I could let it go and have ~10bb left.

In hindsight I was obv. over-thinking it…

no, i think it's very valuable to think outside of the box as much as possible, although often the standard play will end up being best, like here.

you are short, so you are going to have to get allin at some point and get lucky. sure you are going to bust fairly often here, but this is an edge we just can't pass on.

I don't expect the larger stacks to ever be flatting behind several callers with monster hands so I take a second to fist pump before jamming it in. It's a great spot to chip up, either by doubling/tripling or just picking up all the dead money in the pot.
