With 16bb think I would just ship it in 5handed instead of min raise since you don’t wanna be put to decisions such as this.

As played for me I think it depends on gameflow if I ship or fold over his raise. I’m not flatting his 3bet. If he’s been starting to up the aggression because of his stack then I shove. If you think he has a pretty tight 3 betting range and he doesn’t do this with 99 or AJ AQ then it’s a pretty tough fold.

I personally get it in most probably and chalk it up to a cooler if your dominated. There is only 4 pairs that have you beat. I’ll let someone else contribute the ICM response but since your one of the shortstacks anyhow, your not guaranteed to move up at all in the payscale by folding.

This is a shove spot for u.

As played, I would fold.  Payout structure doesn't present a big jump from 5th to 4th and although folding doesnt guarantee a move up you can get those 7000 chips back with one uncalled shove, whereas here he is sure to call you.  You are saying the chip leader is really bad and he hasnt 3bet much, my guess is a pretty tight range ( JJ+ AQs+ AKo) where you would be dominated or flipping against a player you say you have an edge against.  You still need to aim for a double up to try and get the first 3 spots here since you are so short.

Without doing the numbers (I am supposed to be working now wink) My guess is ICM tells you to shove pre for sure w TT and 16 bbs but as played it would guess it is a fold based on my assigned very narrow range for the villain.

Ugly spot but I can't see raise/folding 16bb with TT 5 handed. At this point I'm playing for first and willing to flip and oh well if I'm drawing to two outs. And how does villian play AT and 66-99 against a 16bb stack when your 5 handed and he has 118bb? Please let me know your thoughts as I'm still learning how to make tough foldssmile

I need to do some ICM work, Charlie's findings here somewhat suprised me

fwiw, these people had mostly seen nothing but 2x opens from me all along if it matters (other than a few ships when folded to in sb)

i did some math and got that you need 55% to call here, but i'm not sure enough with my math to stand by it. diego is going to go over it with me soon and i'll report back.

i will say that i think i'd just jam PF, and if i opened it would be because i had a good feel for my opponent's restealing ranges and who i'd be  calling and who i'd be folding to.

you can profitably jam 55+ A7s+ A5s-A3s AJo+ KTs+ KQo QTs+ JTs here.

i think what's also important is that you give some sort of idea as to villain's range here. you've been playing with him for a while now and probably have a better idea than me.

The bolded material is a great point Hag

assuming this is a pretty tight range, this player is abc

I'd say 99+, AJs+, he'd prolly jus call with worse

another question i have is regarding his sizing. most players would just shove here in his shoes but instead he 3bets smaller than a shove. in my mind this looks incredibly strong, but idk.

had he 3bet yet? what was his sizing if so?

If he had previously 3b anyone I don't recall it.

I'd seen some things telling me this player was not very experienced with stack play.
