I have a question to any of the pros. I have joined your site this month and love it so far. I am new to poker so I am starting slow. I have been given advice from some of my friends to be a great player you must learn both tournament play and ring games as well. So I have been practicing both. The question I have and please yell at me if I am totally off base. I play on poker stars and have been playing .25 .50 N/L. I am up to playing 4 to 5 tables and have been holding my own. The problem I am having is I get this weird feeling people are playing together. Example I was at 4 tables and there were three other players at all 4 tables with me. You can tell they are regs because they are playing 20+ tables. Here is the funny part. I won a big pot off one of them the very next hand all 4 players were gone from all 4 tables at the same time? Is that possible? This has happened 3 or 4 times over the last week. Any thoughts or am I just being paranoid? Thanks and you guys are great.

i mean it doesn't make sense that they'd all leave at the same time if they were colluding against you. that's just such a huge edge to give up (to be playing 4 against 1 or 2).

that being said, there have been instances of collusion rings on stars. if you're truly suspicious you can always send an email to stars security, and i'd also send one to poker table ratings as they were the people who caught the last one that i know of.

Ya like Hagbard said doesn't make much sense for them to leave if they really were colluding against you.  If they were playing 20 tables each it's going to be kind of hard to collude anyways I would think as there is so much going on ya know?  Shoot, I struggle with 8 tables sometimes.  Can't hurt to email both PTR and Stars security if you really feel its a possibility

sounds like you need better table selection if you are always sitting on the table with 4 regs
