Hello TPE,
Today I ran well in this $2 turbo 6-max MTT, maintained a hyper aggressive image throughout. I got heads up with the chiplead against this villain “PackYourKnivesAndGo” who was playing loose but I could not really peg as either passive or aggressive. After 120 hands, he's at VPIP 42, PFR 29, limp 16, 3bet 22, Cbet 100, Steal 35, Fold to steal 62, Resteal 27, Fold to Resteal 50, call resteal 50.
On the 3rd hand of heads up, this situation came up:
Merge Network $100 Gtd – [6-Max, Turbo] No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t1750.00/t3500.00 Blinds + t350.00 – 2 players – View hand 2356735

Hero (BTN/SB): BB = 39.7, t139012
PackYourKnivesAndGo (BB): BB = 21.1, t73988
Pre Flop: (t5950) Hero is BTN/SB with Q A
Hero raises to t8000.00, PackYourKnivesAndGo raises to t17500.00
While he had a good resteal % and a healthy 3bet %, this simply had not been his usual type of move this game. I found it highly suspicious, and decided he was probably quite strong. How strong, though? After a moment's thought, I decided it felt like he was truly as strong as JJ+ and AK.
But then I thought, wait a minute, we're heads up. Players often change their styles when heads up, and we're just 3 hands in. Can I really put him on so narrow a range? I can end the tournament right here if he's restealing with something like AT because he puts me on a wide steal, and even if he has JJ I can easily win. If he's bluffing I can take down a big pot and have him really short stacked. I also have a stack left over myself if I lose.
Hero raises to t138662 all in, PackYourKnivesAndGo calls t56138 all in
Would you guys consider folding AQ here given what info I've presented and given that you felt there were proper cincumstantial clues that the villian was primo? Or has the tourney reached the point where there is no folding AQ?
Thank you in advance.

You are right – I may be misperceiving what his usual play was for this situation.
I think what I felt I picked up on was mostly timing and his sizing – the fact that it wasn't a shove. He had tended to shove all in over people when 3betting (I think that gets tallied as 3bet on HM2) and not to make specific bets like the one above.
Of course, for this hand, he now has a situation and a stack large enough not to shove all in. So I think you're right, that I shouldn't consider this move unusual for him.
Thanks for the response.
