First I probably 3 bet the 99 to prevent a ton of calls behind us.

The flop isn't the scariest in the world. It has the flush draw obviously and someone could have an up and down with QT but aside from that there isn't much to worry about.

Provided the blinds check to us and Aunti-Ali does I'm betting about 60% pot here.

You could try to check and put in a large raise if someone bets in late position but people with flush draws or gutshots or whatever probably just check to get a free card so I don't like trying to set up a check raise if half the players in this pot have already checked to us.

Obv. never folding to any flop action so my line is bet 60% and proceed from there.

Im raising 100% you have 5 opponents in the hand and some of them have draws without a doubt. Flatting here is a huge mistake, also I would never try to check raise (assuming it was checked to us )because we want to build the pot and the worst thing that could happen is it gets checked through and everyone gets a free card.  Im with FkCoolers, if it was checked to me I would bet at minimum 60%.  Im also willing to get it in right now with anyone in the hand.

you guys really 3b 99 with these positions and stacks? do you 3b/fold or 3bet/call 41BB in EP with 99?

as to flop just don't fold. i doubt you can say calling is even close to a mistake. it will clearly lead to some tougher spots, but can also get opponents to get more money in with far less equity than they will ont he flop, which is a good thing.

raising is obviously fine, too.

when i say calling i mean if he bets the flop. obv dont check the flop once it checks to you.

with stacks as they are, it's hard to raise flop (if he were to bet) and not look committed, so i see no reason why we can't flat a cbet and get it in on most turns, call some, etc.

a 3b PF seems horrendous to me, as it takes a certain type of player for 3bet/calling to be good this deep from these positions. there is no info in the OP that leads me to believe we can profitably 3b/call PF, which would leave us 3b/folding 99 PF with 40BB eff vs. the OR.

At these stakes I do 3 bet in this spot and I do it a lot.

I am used to playing deep so I can outplay a lot of people post-flop.

Also, these are the types of pre-flop results you see at these stakes… UTG min-raises and all it takes is one person to call to see a flop 5 or 6 handed.

I'd rather 3 bet here because no one is ever 4 betting you with worse and you really don't see that many flats at these stakes either.

You can probably raise to 2499 and all those callers drop off and you'll take the pot down heads up in position enough for it to be profitable IMO.

No, I think I'm missing it. I'm saying 3 bet because if we flat a min-raise all these people with speculative hands behind us can flat and I don't want to see a flop 4 or 5 ways.

If anyone 4 bets behind us we can fold the hand and move on but this happens so seldom in a $5 MTT that the 4 bet will be QQ+ and AK almost always.

So would you just flat and fold out to a three bet from behind us?

I agree with hagbard, I couldnt see in my mind 3betting in that position with that hand. That being said, after his min 3bet post flop I put him on the almost exact hand he had, something like AJdd or MAYBE Q10dd my problem is I dont feel like I can flat that bet then c/f the turn.

A 3bet is very bad imo. You are very deep and you can just call to see a flop and spike a set.

Really, I don't see why you should 3bet every hand you want to play. 3 betting is a very clear mistake in my eyes in this hand.
