Hi TPErs,
I have a question that has been sticking in my head for a couple of days. How can you quantify your poker game improvement?
I’m in the stage where i don’t end up in the money regularly so i can’t use that as a measure of my success. What measures can i use to track the improvement (or the lack of).
I use Hold’em Manager 2 for tracking my poker hands and i currently use the bb/100 index to try to assess my game (in terms of general improvement). is this ok? The problem i see with bb/100 per tournament is that if you bust out early, the number gets skewed a lot.
Thanks,
M

This won't answer your question… But the biggest improvements I've made is short stack play. So I would take a look at your 10-20bb play and see how you are busting out. Are you shoving too wide? Are you calling too light? Do you feel urgency at 20bbs when there really isn't a need to be 'that' urgent? I definately think the difference in FT's and deep run busts is short stack play. So just something I would recommend. : )
