The Button did tank and almost time out. I feel like this would have been profitable if I had done this exact move w/out
2 hearts out there. I think his call was because I could have been doing it with a flush draw. Or maybe I just tried to
bluff a calling station. I only had 12 hands on him so I can't say what kind of a player he was.

I feel like check raising the flop might have been a good move. As played on the flop maybe leading the turn for 2000
or so? I'm really curious what you guys think. Thank you for your input
cool

Personally , i would of bet flop just like you did, Usually i'd c/f turn here quite a lot and i think that'sa  pretty weak play by me. anyhow Looking at v sizing ott , it seems like they are not folding to a c/r shove given how much they've put into the pot and how much they have left behind in their stack. If they had bet less then yeah c/r shoving would of been maybe better , so ya I dont think you have much fold equity. I prefer bet turn or maybe shove? to get folds from draws and hands like A9/AT/AJ that way you have more fold equity imo.

I also think that a c/r ott with or without two hearts out there would be profitable. You also may very well play a hand like QQ/AA/AQ this way just like you did here with your semi bluffs  ( for balance) or you may even want to bet/shove with these ott hoping v will make a mistake and call with a draw or Ax. 🙂

I was thinking the same.  Maybe if he bet like 2200 instead of 2800 then I might get a fold.  But as much as he bet then he's committed to calling.

Yeah the problem with trying to c/r here is that once V bets there isn't going to be room to push him off of a hand. I'd rather just bet again myself. It sucks if he shoves and you have to fold, but checking doesn't really lead to anything good (even if checks back it will be hard for you to win unimproved), and it's not that easy for him to shove, because your range is uncapped.

@foucault, does that mean we should be c/r turn less often with our value hands as we are not c/r that much here with our bluffs? or do u think we should be c/r turn here with our bluffs depending on v sizing?
