Not sure if this should be in strategy but I couldn’t see a better place for it. Just wondering how many tournaments you guys grind on average at the same time and what do you feel is optimal, ie where your ROI doesn’t drop off the map?!
I’ve been playing 6 at once over the last 3 months but have just bought a new monitor so could squeeze 12 up on there – I’m not sure this would allow me the thinking time I need for correct decisions but early on if I play ABC then who knows.
Would be good to hear how many games you guys are crunching at once and how this is panning out for you. Cheers!

I guess it kinda depends on your setup; like if you live outside the u.s. and have a good hotkey setup like tableninja or something you could probably get away with it, but you really do lose a lot of info etc. I generally stay around 8-10 which is probably too many, I think for me 6-8 is pretty optimal I guess.

My setup is a laptop and a 24″ monitor. I have 6 tables up on the monitor and the lobby, sharkscope, and google calculator ready on the laptop screen. I'll add a few more tables if they are silly games like Dollar Frenzies or $1r/a satties that I late regged before the addon. I can't play more than 8 tables without going crazy because I play pretty LAG and constantly get into difficult spots. I also stop regging if I get deep in anything with a buy-in of $60 or more.

Thanks for the input guys – I played 8 windows tonight as I entered into a multi on FT and found it OK but a little crazy as I don't have a tool for window focusing so have to be quick on the mouse, I also have a PKR tournie on my laptop screen (extended desktop to monitor) so have to drag back over to that when I need to! Might have to stick with 6 tables for now, maybe with pokerstove in the spare space I have – I stepped up a buy-in level today and blew out of everything I played (argh) – I don't think it was due to playing more windows but it could have been.
Does anyone use any table focusing software and/or fold shortcuts that helps with multi windowing?
Cheers.
