How many BB my opponent “rgsr63” needs to have in order for me to shove on him instead of calling his raise?
I won the hand anyways but I still would like to know

so in this case your effective stacks are 22.8bb, correct?
i would say up to maybe 25bb. as it is, a standard raise would be something like 7bb, so that would leave you with 15bb effective into a 17bb pot if villain calls. you can probably 3bet-call here if you like.
20-25bb is a bit of a grey area imo, where either shoving or 3bet-calling are ok. less than 20 its a shove all the time, more than 25 its a 3bet most of the time

I agree with Hawkeye here, shoving early with big stacks left to act can be dangerous a good 3-bet is all you need to isolate, which would leave you with some to play with if you are called or shoved on. AQo is decent in your position, but I do not like shoving preflop with 30+ BB in this situation. Blinds are still not that high yet compared to stack.
"Your either in Sheen's Korner or your with the trolls."
yeah i've been guilty of being too aggressive the last couple of days and 3 bet shoving hands like A7-AQ with around 25BBs and running into big hansd behind me, when a standard 3bet as stated would achieve the same result but also not risk our entire stack and tourney life
Your question is interesting 'how big does villains stack need to be for me to change my line?'
i agree with hawkeye here, if we ignored stacks behind us, i'd 3bet standard if he has >25ish BBs and just 3bet jam if he has anything <25BBs (only if we have him covered though)
agree with thoughts on <20bb=shove >25bb=3bet, and a grey area thats probs read dependant for 22bb. But whats much more important as already stated is the big stack in on the button and BB.
So your question should be how much do the effective stacks have to be (inc those still to act) for me to shove?
As already staed by all 20bb or less – so we should 3bet here…
