Was in a live tourney and this situation came up.  I am wondering how TPE nation would handle the situation.

We are sitting in the Cutoff with 4800 in chips.  Blinds are 150/75 no ante and will go up to 200/100 in 5 minutes.

From mid postion a weak tight player open ships her stack for 3500.  The player immediately to her left reships for 4100, he is slightly more aggressive but still not a good player.  We look at 99.  The BB has about 10k and the rest of the stacks are about even with me.

To note, this is a 12 tournament satelite and we get points for knock outs.  At the time I was in 4th place with 5 tournies to be played.  4 positions get a trip.

What do you do?

Second question, if we had 10k in chips, does that change your action?

Fold, to much variance with two other people in the pot before you.  Two people in equals more outs that can beat you compared to one, even if you are ahead at the time. Example both villians have lower pocket pairs, in the ideal situation you only have to worry about one of them hitting with two in you have the other card to worry about plus any potential straights, flushes that hand could have.  I would still fold with 10k 4100 is over 1/3 of your stack and just below 1/2 still a great risk with two people in ahead of you.

Ya, I'd just go ahead and fold here the initial raiser is open shoving 23bbs and the next player reships 27bbs and this is with no ante.  While its possible the open shipper can be possibly shoving a lil wide range there should be no way the reshipper has anything but a real tight range here.  99 is just way to weak here, just fold with nothing invested and make mental notes of their hands and how many chips they are getting in the middle there to help range them for down the line.
