Hi everyone,

My question is really simple: at what point during your session do you decide to stop registering?

My question is directed toward higher volume players that multi-table.  I have a problem of keep registering and find myself playing 12hr+ session everyday.  I usually start with 4-5 tourneys, and ends up with 1 that is a little deep.  And I find it extremely boring to one-table, and start up a few more.  The cycle never ends and I find myself in front of the moniter from 10am to 2 am the next day.

I know two guys that play high volume and they basically register for everything in a certain window of time.  Say 3pm-9pm.  Some days its shorter, most sundays its noon-10pm.

When I play a session, I usually have a schedule in mind that I know ahead of time, and I will register for everything when I start my session and play through it.  This could be a monday session of 4pm with the 162 and 100rto 9pm for the 1k.  Or 1pm to 9pm on a saturday or sunday, or just 7-8pm till 9pm on a wednesday or tuesday.  I will unregister if I feel I get tilted in the least and feel it may be affecting my play negatively.

for the most part i have a set schedule when it comes to grinding mtts. i will start a certain time and choose an end time and that will be my session say like 1pm to 6pm and i will play on stars/ ftp/ ap and will sign up for every appealing mtt in that time frame if i run deep in later stuff that would prolly see my day end at midnight give or take an hour or so. i dont like just registering aimlessly until i feel tired or not in the mood. for me having a sructured time frame helps me stay focused. a structured sked doesnt allow the day before to affect todays session. a 5-6 hour window of signups can easily lead to a 10-12 hour day so this is why i play  only 4-5 days per week as i dont like having 60-70 hour poker weeks as i feel your brain needs time to digest all the crazy shit you have dealt with on the virtual felt.
