I’m not a fan, looking back on it. But curious your thoughts. Villains are weak/passive, generally, as I remember them…

TBH I’m not thrilled about calling the UTG2 raise with this hand as there are too many players behind to act and you are just getting yourself in weird spots (like this). QTs is a decent enough hand post flop but really only if you are in late position, flatting early position opens with this hand is just going to get you in a world of pain on a regular basis.
To the hand, as played I dont mind the flop raise to the min donk but I might have kept it a little smaller but not much say .25 does the same job of protecting your hand and defining opponents range but keeps the pot under control, however if you get reraised you get away a little cheaper.
Turn bet is fine but you really should think to shove river to get max value from making the backdoor flush.

I think this was a cap game so the river is a half stack shove I believe.
Agreed the early cold call pf is too light and against better players sets up a classic squeeze.
I actually think the flop raise kinda blew – my hand is def marginal, and I’d likely rather be raising with value or bluffs. I’d prefer that I’d called the donk and re-eval the turn…

Flop and turn are probably fine in these games, river probably needs a bigger sizing to get value from straights, but preflop is the mistake here. You need to be very careful about flat-calling in middle position versus an EP raise, it’s nowhere near as profitable as most people think. You’re only going to get to see a flop 80-90% of the time and you’re only going to go heads-up probably 10-20% of the time in these games. You’ll almost always be out of position and your hand isn’t exactly the nuts.
