I think how you played it pre-ante is fine. I would of floated one time as you still have a strong hand on this very dry flop. I do put his range stong as he 3x a shortish stack, so the float will put him in a tough spot that will polarize his hand strength… or the size of his balls. Either way you're in good shape to float and fold the turn if he continues to barrel knowing you played the hand the best you could and pick up info on the player for later on in tounry.

For the record, with ante in play, I'm 3betting 100% of the time. folding to a 4bet, but c betting a flat and taking the pot down 75% of the time with my eyes shut.

3bet this pre. His range is so wide right now and this flop is a standard cbet for every single hand in his range except for maybe KK and AA. I'd be expecting a check/raise from those two hands. If he had something like 66-88 I could see him checking the turn if you floated. With your stack size I think you need to be floating this unless you know you something about your opponent's range not represented in this hand history. I don't like his bet sizing on the flop though. It sort of smells like value but it could also be less than half pot because he got scared off at a king high flop with his AJ/AQ/66-88,TT and didn't want to commit a large portion of chips to the pot in case he got raised.

You don’t have the odds to set mine here, but in saying that I play the 9s for value. With the villains effective stack pre, it’s a 3 bet call (getting it in). 9s are the bottom of my range in getting it in. I wouldn’t just call because of what happened. You are going to be way ahead or way behind post, so if you aren’t prepared to get it in pre, I wouldn’t play the hand. Best of luck at the tables!

You could 3bet pre, but I like to flat in position pre ante.  No need to go super crazy.  Some guys/girls will spree away chips to you.  Agree with one of the other guys, You know he's cbetting most of the flops (at least most GOOD/competent players will cbet most flops), with this one I prob flat it and see what the turn brings otherwise I fold.

Start thinking ahead.  Always have a game plan.  Don't wait for the cards.  Remember, it's not what you have, it's what you think your opp has………  what you put him ON.  You have to have a game plan for the entire hand.  think about what card you want, what cards you don't.
