I really think this is a MTT Strategy topic. I am backed through a company, and I have been a horrible losing streak this month. I am backed to play low stakes, and the loses just keep adding up. I have even tried to take time off during the week since I work a M-F job. I continue to grind, I am a new member on here for the reason of, “Am I doing something wrong”?

I have learned some awesome strategy from watching BIGDOG videos. I am able to open my game up. I have learned awesome betting strategies that I had flaws in. Now my issue is, I am bubbling tourneys from my game opening up. I always believe of playing for the win and not to just cash.

So my question on this forum is, How do you control your losing streak? Do people make drastic changes to their game?

I did play live yesterday in Charlotte in the $100 and finished 3rd for $400. That did boost my confidence up, but online is just killing me.

Thanks in advance for the answers.

If you are able with your backing deal, I would suggest dropping the highest stakes games out of your schedule and maybe slightly dropping volume. So if you usually play 8 tables with maximum of $50 buyin, drop all of the 50s and maybe even some of the 30s and drop to 6 tables. Then when you feel it is turning around you can add them back in again

I'd probably find someone to review HH's with, like your backer. A lot of losing streaks have to do with making repeated fundamental errors and aren't as simple as variance. Poker is one of those things where you can make the same mistake for a year if no one helps you catch it.

If you have opened up your game and take on a style like Bigdogs, you are going to be in way more high variance spots.  In turn you should be bubbling way more tourneys but also winning more as well.  MTTs can be brutal especiallly if you are off your game.  I would analyze the pots where you lose over 20bb, also analyze the hands that you bust out on.

Thanks for the comments everyone. One of the things I have been doing is recording myself while playing through Camtasia. I am going to continue to do that. I am trying to transfer the files using DropBox and the files are to big. I am trying to figure out how to convert these Camtasia videos into a different file. I am trying to get these to my backer.

Does TPE let members post videos on here? If so can anyone see it and comment on it?
