Sorry the HH converter is not working with my UB hands for some reason. My apologies for not using the HH converter.
As usual, I didn't really give this hand much though and just wanted to get it in as I thought I had the best hand. I really hoped he had A7 or 88,99,1010 and couldn't fold his precious overpair. How should I proceed when he donk leads the flop and How do I read this action and narrow down his range?
thanks for reading

I don't really like your shove there on the flop, I think you lost alot of value on the hand.  The flop is pretty uncoordinated and I think your jacks are way ahead at that point.  I think you could 3 bet him to like 27k, giving him a chance to shove some thing like A7.  You can also make the case for flatting on the flop and let him lead out agin on the turn and then shove on him, but since you only have like 27BB's I would'nt want to get too cute.  I not sure that I would believe he is flatting oop there preflop with 99 or TT.

Thanks for the reply. I feel the same way that I lost ALOT of value here. I like your plan of calling his donk bet and letting him bluff the turn if he so chooses, then I can either flat again if the turn card is very non threatening or just jam then turn. I think there was a little bit of a fear bet in there also by me.

I think I need to just think about the hand more before making (as usual) a harsh, rash decision. Appreciate the input 🙂

I dont mind it.

After he donk-leads (which imo – he is just hoping you got overs that didnt hit shit) you can raise or flat call. Depending on how much you wanna raise depends on if you should shove. If you do 33 or more that is 1/3 of your remaining stack and you should go ahead and shove. However, is you raise to 27k as stated, he could reshove on you or just flat call and then you have the opportunity to shove on the turn.

The only thing is are you willing to do that when an over comes???? Hell, I am. But I am greedy bastard when it comes to my chips, hate losing em. lol

As noted in many of our videos (by Wein or BigDog, not sure,) the lead out after calling preflop is ALWAYS a sign of weakness.  I would try and figure a way to get all my chips and his chips in, shoving just scares him away.  If my math is right there is about 26k in the pot on the flop and you have 110k behind.  If you min raise or slightly larger that would make the pot 76-80k and you have about the same or slightly less behind leaving you a pot size shove on the river.

Ya you want to give him a chance to make a mistake here.  I'd probably raise like McBain said to 27kish and give him the opportunity to jam over you with worse hands when he convinces himself he has FE.  How had he been playing to this point?  Was he more of a calling station or aggro?

As Cougars mentions, reads on the villian should be instrumental in how you proceed.

But crucial point to be taken is McBains one re lost value (especially on that flop).

Definately like the raise of the donk lead. A ton in that spot he think he has FE and shove over top.

love your play and its exactly how i would have played it. what are you going to do call and let a Q,K,A peel on the turn and now you dont have a clue where you are in the hand and can easily be bet off the pot. does he lead a set? i say never does he have QQ,KK,AA?i say never do to the flat pre. so to me i think you got buddy with there pants down and snap folding to your shove and paying you off with 88,99,1010. i dont really like 3 bet call the flop because i use what i call the ten times rule the ten times rule can be applyd when you know you have to raise and are unsure as to how much based on stacks so you have 99k and villain who has bet 12.5k, (12.5kx10=125k exceeding your 99k stack) so for me this is a jam if i had a stack that exceeded 125k that woulkd be my middle point on a 3 bet jam or to 3 bet call. fwiw i never beleive the lead out there ever and what a sweet flop for JJ 247rainbow

I should have also said that this is a $1.10 tournament so that was partly why I jammed over his raise as he stacks off 100% with any overpair or even TPTK. Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it.

In a $1 tourney I dont hate it. He comes along sometimes with any pair, any piece or AQ.  I think AK gets it in with you pre.

I'd minraise instead of shove. I've read all the replies but I just don't think he's got 88-TT enough here for a shove from us expecting a call from him.

He's probably got nothing at all so we can min-raise or raise to about 30k which sets up a pot sized turn shove.

your shove looks massively strong , giving him no room to rebluff you or to think he may make you fold with his pair. i minclick it back with these sizes as you can't even rep a flushdraw if you shove.
