Simple question really, how do you do a hand history review?

I often finish a long session and look at the amount of tournaments I'm after playing and think 'How the hell am I suppose to review all these hands' and end up not doing any. How do you decide what to review? Are people loading up a hand history replayer(which one is best?) and going through every hand or are they looking at stats? What am I looking for when I'm reviewing? Should I focus on one concept and try to find spots related to that? How do you find leaks?

As you can see I'm pretty lost when it comes to reviewing my tourneys so any help would be great.

Check out this video. Daryl Jace gets into in some pretty good detail about this topic and others.

I took alot from it but personally I tend to choose a few MTTs every week that I went deeper in and review them in Poker Tracker 4. Universal Replayer is also a good free one. I then just slowly go through each hand. Any tough spots I note and try to write down what about them was tough or where i think I made a mistake. I ask for help on certain hands etc. Thats been working well for me. I try to review them sooner than later so my reads are fresher in my head. Some people also review directly after a session but with my schedule outside poker its tough cause I can't be up that late after my sessions.

You get better at finding leaks the more your review. Like playing the more you do it the better you are. Any more questions I'll try to help. But definetely check out that video.

Really interested to see what people say about this topic as well. I use HEM2 and one thing I do is mark hands for review as I play. It only takes about 3 seconds and I can go back and look at them after session. Another thing I do is sort by pot size… So look at your biggest losing hands (you can sort this to BB’s if you like) and biggest losing hands and just be aware of any tendencies good or bad I may have.

I’m curious who is really good on here (Pros or non-pros) at being able to spot leaks in stats though. So if my W$SD% is 80%… What does that mean? To me it obviously means that you’re calling way too tight… But the point is… There are tonnes of stats readily available that can show huge leaks…

I look forward to hearing from everyone.
