I'm running reasonably well in the 12:00 FTP guarantee today. I've got $9715 with the blinds at 200/400/50. I've got 24 BBs and an M of 12.

I've got AK in the BB there's a shove in front of me of a 4k stack and a call by a big stack at 23k.

Now what? I know there's a good chance I'm flipping with a 16% chance I'm dominated. But there might also be some AQs AJs KQs worked in there.

I was aware that I was putting my tournament life on the line but if I ended up winning the hand I'm at 24K with a real chance to go deep.

Big stack turns over KK… no help…  GG me.

I'm trying not to be results oriented. I'm just looking for some opinions if this was good aggressive or just reckless gambling.

Thoughts?

SitNGo Wizard says you should call TT+, AK vs the big stack iso (or did he just call rather than iso? he's not folding having committed more than 1/3 of your stack, though) of 88+,ATs+,AJo+. I'm not sure I'm ever folding AK here with 25BBs and I would make that decision before the action got to me. If short stack shoves, big stack reshoves and someone else also shoves then I might consider folding here, but in this situation I definitely get it in!

Quick tip. Use the TPE hand converter when posting hands and dont post results of the hand until after you get feedback. You will get more constructive feedback that way. Also do you have any reads or stats on the bigger stack villian?

Now to the hand. Nobody has a monster stack at your table so everyone is probably looking for some sort of spot. The short stack all in range should be no concern. However, the flat by the bigger stack instead of raising and isolating screams strength. I think he would raise shove all-in (to iso) with hands like 88+ or AQ AJ. I think to just call (if he is a solid player) he has hands such as QQ+ or min of AK. I think unless you have a read on this player that he is a loose calling station that you fold your hand and wait for a better spot (where you are the aggressor) since your stack is good in relation to the stacks at the rest of the table.

In a TPE video I was watching yesterday ttwist even said when you have a monster and are faced with a short stack shove, you can just call instead of re-shove iso with big hands like KK and AA to not give any info on ur hand and possibly get another spew. GL
