$100 Buy In Live Tourney. Flight into Day 2. This is right before first break.

Villain: Middle age, well dressed black guy who seems to be playing TAG-ish poker.
My image – I am somewhat new to table (had to rebuy – see other hand in this forum) Probably LAG ish but haven’t shown down much at this point.

200/400/50. I had 12,500 in BB with 7Tcc.

3 limpers I check.
pot=2000.
flop is 7-T-A r
I bet 700. V calls.
Pot is 3500.
Turn is 8. no flush. I bet 2000? V looks at me and starts bobbing up and down like a boxer. I asked “are you Ali getting ready to put Rope-a-dope on me?” He said…”not sure I think I know what you got..” I said “I think I know what you got…and told him TJ (actually more likely an Ace or draw but this was just banter).” He laughed and thought a sec and shoved…

Duh Fuq?

Is he agro or tight ? Id bet less ott and refrain from chatting. Bf is gross – but would he raise pre wirh set and tp combos ? Seems like he has a lot of better 2p and some ST8 combos and some possible gssd oesd combos but unlikely – you like your hand obviously – and youre somewhat committed … gosh i think its a fold but a close one… i dont think hes bluffing …

If you’ve seen my Getting Paid series, your value target should be an A. So bet bigger or check-raise, as much as you think an Ace will call (I like check-raising, because this way you also let people catch up if no one has an Ace). There’s no point in betting just 700. As played, sounds like a fold on the turn.
