Hello everyone,
I just wanted some insight on this particular spot, I ran the situation through ICMizer but, I’d like some clarity not being results orientated. this particular tournament is on Ignition $11/1K GTD. I did consider the buy-in and how aggressive this particular SB was and I believe i ranged the BB fairly strong considering he is playing for stacks multi-way. I would kindly appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance,

I like the range almofadinhas has given the BB. The calling range that you’ve been given by ICMIZER is tighter than I would imagine is optimal. I think you’ve likely given the two villains in this hand tighter ranges than we typically see. I would call with AQo but it would be the bottom of my calling range.

Hey Guppy,
What stage of the tournament is this? Are you close to the bubble, or have you reached the money? Seeing as there are three stacks under 10bb, I think this would be a good fold. Also the SB is already AI and at risk because BB has him covered, and you will see their holdings which will give you more information to use in future situations. When it comes to making the money or moving up in the payout scale, the chips you lose are more valuable than the chips you win.

Unless this is a final table situation and you’re using ICM, I don’t see any possibility of that JJ+/AKs calling range being correct for you here. The SB should probably be getting it in with something like 20-30% of hands (depending on how wide they perceive you to be opening), and the BB should be reshoving with at least something like 77+ ATs+ AJo+ KQs.
Having said that, I was surprised by the results of my calculation in this spot – we need around 35% equity to call, and AQo doesn’t actually have much more than about 33% in a three-way pot here, even against two ranges towards the wider end of what we would expect here. However, 99+ has at least 36%, as does AKo, so those are definitely a call. I was expecting hands like AQs to be a fairly comfortable call here, but it seems that unless the SB is shoving closer to 30% and the BB is getting it in with wider than 66+ ATs+ AJo+ KQs, we might actually have to fold here. I’m very surprised by this.
If someone can produce some math that would prove me wrong I’d greatly appreciate it, since I’m 90% sure I would make the mistake of calling here in-game!

I appreciate the responses from everyone,
This was a chip EV spot, I would assume by the stack sizes around the table that it was mid tournament with late reg still to come. I totally agree with everyone here and it seems to be a pretty close call. This particular tournament was actual through the ignition software and I think the majority of the low to mid stakes players are shipping wider than the range I gave them. It’s very interesting the conclusion @theginger45 came up with AQo in this multi-way pot. I hope to see more spots like this as gross as it is, It’s definitely great to get insight from fellow TPE members!
